Congratulations to the Irish fighters!

Ireland in Euro 2016It has all calmed down a bit by now, but it was a great party in Dublin and in Ireland on Monday after their victory against Bosnia Herzegovina in the play off match for the European Championship in 2016.

After a 1-1 match in Bosnia 3 days earlier, a match played in the fog, the match in Ireland was played at the beautiful stadium and in front of thousands of crazy Irishmen cheering for their team. And in the end it was probably the combination of an incredible spirit and some good footballers that made Ireland qualify for the Euro 2016 instead of Bosnia Herzegovina.

Now all we have to do is to congratulate the guys and wish them luck in their preparations for the big tournament next year.

This will be the second tournament in a row for which the Irish team is qualified. They did not have to big success during the World Cup in Brazil, but the fact that they have managed to qualify for such world tournaments twice in a row should tell us something about the hidden qualities of this team.

If you want to know more about the European Championship in 2016, know more about who will broadcast it in Ireland (RTE) and about all the other different teams that will participate, the following article can be recommended.

Of all the stars in the Irish team we should for sure not forget about Jon Walters who scored both goals in their last play off matches against Bosnia Herzegovina. Normally he plays as a forward for Stoke. Their other big star is Robbie Keane who play football in the USA, for LA Galaxy. He scored five goals during the qualification, but all those goals came in matches against Gibraltar!

Go for it guys, and we look forward to seeing you in the European Championship next summer in France!
