The World Grand Prix will be back again in Dublin in the fall of 2015. The World Grand Prix is a PCD darts competition which is held every year in October in Dublin and the first World Grand Prix was held in 1998. The current champion is the Dutch Michael van Gerwen who defeated in the final the English James Wade last year October.
Darts is a typical pub game which is commonly played in the United Kingdom, in the Netherlands, in Belgium and also in the Republic of Ireland and it is a kind of throwing game in which small missiles are thrown at a circular target which is fixed to the wall. There are various boards and rules to play the game however nowadays the rules and the dartboards are standardised so a standard dartboard is divided into 20 sections from 1 to 20 points.
The World Grand Prix will take place in Dublin at the Citywest Hotel, which is the game’s current home since 2001, and it will be held from the 5th October to the 11th October in 2015.
